Whitnall Tennis Team Has New Practice Wall

A recently graduated senior completed the wall as a part of a Boy Scout project.

Thanks to the hard work of recently graduated senior Cory Wunrow, the Whitnall tennis team and the Greenfield tennis community has a practice wall it can be proud of.

Wunrow, of Boy Scout Troop 598, built and painted the practice wall as his Eagle project, and it is up and available for use at the high school's tennis courts.

"I chose to create this practice wall for those individuals who want to better their game or have fun playing the sport they love when a partner may not be available," said Wunrow, a member of Whitnall's varsity first doubles team this spring. "I fully believe that this wall is a great way to practice accuracy and to see the effects of different shots and how spin affects how the opponent must hit the ball."

Wunrow's wall features vinyl lettering and a painted yellow line to scale of the height of a normal tennis net.
