Whitnall Volleyball Player to Play at Milikin University

As a senior, Brittany Treuer had 338 digs, 22 assists, 12 kills and 24 service aces when she served as her team's captain. She was a first-team all-Woodland Conference selection.

Whitnall High School's Brittany Treuer of Greenfield will play volleyball at Millikin University beginning next fall.

A high honor roll student, Treuer plans to major in Athletic Training and Pre-Physical Therapy at Millikin, located in Decatur, Ill.

"Brittany is a strong defensive player that is a great addition to our team,” Milikin head coach Debbie Kiick said in a news release. “We’ve been impressed when we have gone to watch her compete. She is a tremendous passer and is quick and athletic on defense. We are thrilled about what she’s going to contribute to our program."

Treuer lettered in volleyball at . As a senior, she had 338 digs, 22 assists, 12 kills and 24 service aces when she served as her team’s captain.  Treuer earned first-team all-division in the Woodland Conference - Black, first-team all-Woodland and honorable mention all-area by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Treuer, the daughter of Terrance and Lisa Treuer, is a member of the National Honor Society.

Millikin University is a private, residential university serving approximately 2,300 students in undergraduate and graduate programs offered during the day and evening. The university features 19 NCAA Division III athletics teams.
