Whitnall High School's 'Grease' is This Week

The 50s were decades ago, but Whitnall High School started its 50s recreation only 6 weeks ago when they came together to start Grease practice.

Poodle skirts, Keds, slicked-back hair, little button sweaters crinolins, and even a car. Could Whitnall High School students recreate the decade? ABSOLUTELY! More than 60 students have come together to create a fabulous show that they are excited to perform.

Are you wondering how this will look with today’s fashion and hair? No worries. There are more than 75 period costumes, 40-plus wigs and men with slicked-back 50s style hair to set the mood. Add to that a six-piece band, 200 light changes, 18 moving lights, waterbase haze, a strobe light, professional choreography and more, and you have a 50s recreation that will rival the best.

So come on out to enjoy yourself and support the hard work of the Whitnall students, director Tom Weissgerber, musical director Todd Stacy and choreographer Karl Millert.
