Whitnall Holiday Band to Perform at Oak Crest Villa Assisted Living Facility, Visit with Residents

The Whitnall Holiday Band, which consists of both middle and high school students, will give a special performance of holiday music to the assisted living residents at Oak Crest Villa, 8765 W. Forest Home Ave., Greenfield, on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m.

The group of more than 70 students will perform at the facility for approximately 30 minutes and then socialize with the residents over cookies and punch. This marks the sixth consecutive year the Whitnall Holiday Band will visit Oak Crest Villa, which funds the students’ transportation for the trip.

“The residents enjoy the interaction and the development of empathy, socialization skills and awareness for the students is invaluable,” said Lynn LeRoy, Whitnall Middle School music teacher.
