This WELS Bargain Center is on Howard Avenue and 50th Street and is one of 16 thrift stores nationwide run by the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. This store serves the community by offering clean, gently used clothing and household goods at very reasonable prices. Area families stock the store by donating gently used sports equipment, toys, appliances, clothing and furniture they are not using anymore. Hundreds of volunteers help run the store, from sorting through donations to waiting on customers to stocking and straightening the shelves. The Bargain Center's proceeds provide critical support for Wisconsin Lutheran High School and other WELS charities.

This is such a great resource for so many people. It's not just for finding great bargains on everythings from clothing to furniture, but it is also a social outlet for many wonderful people. The volunteers are like family to each other (present and past volunteers) and they treat the customers the same way.
