Services for the 83-year-old Greenfield man will be held in Greenfield on Friday.
Earle G. Peterson, a 29-year employee of the U.S. Postal Service, died Wednesday. Peterson's services will be Friday, May 17, at Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel, 4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield, from 5-7 p.m. A private interment at Good Hope Cemetary will follow. Peterson was the beloved husband of Elaine (nee Esser) Peterson, loving dad of Mark (Cathy) and the late Todd Peterson, dear grandpa of Jessica Peterson, Allison (Jason) Vida, Jenny, Katie, Brad and Brian Peterson and brother of Carol Peterson and Judy Bushek. The Greenfield man died unexpectedly Wednesday at the age of 46.
Charles D. Litchford Jr. of Greenfield, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 20, at the age 46. He is lovingly survived by his wife Brenda. Beloved father of Gabrielle, Emily, Serena, Kaitlynn and Ian. Dorothy Seeley cared about those around her, especially senior citizens and the city she lived in her entire life. With her passing, she leaves big shoes to fill. Seeley died Feb. 1. She was 96 years old. Many years ago, Seeley founded the United Seniors of Wisconsin center on 45th and Forest Home Avenue. Muskego man was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who had once tried out for the Chicago Cardinals football team and played semi-pro before teaching at Whitnall High School.
Edwin John Seybold of Muskego died Sunday, Dec. 2. at Wauskesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. John was born on November 4, 1937, son of the late Edwin and Agnes (Egan) Seybold of Forest Junction, WI. He was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1955. John was a prominent football player in high school and with the United States Marine Corps, which led to a professional football tryout with the Chicago Cardinals. He attended Compton College in California, class of 1958, and played semi-pro football for the Sheboygan Redwings (1959-1960), Manitowoc Chiefs (1961-1966 & 1968-1969), Racine Raiders and the West Allis Spartans (1970-1974). Ed Kaczkowski, one of Greenfield’s original six police officers, died Tuesday. The retired police lieutenant was 80. Kaczkowski was hired along with fellow officers Jim Scheidt, Dick Karweik, Henry MacDonald, Phil Hall and Ernst Huck in 1962 when Greenfield first formed its department under late chief Clifford Ruck. Kaczkowski retired 24 years later on Jan. 4, 1987. He was promoted to sergeant in 1967 and to lieutenant in 1976. He received formal commendations for his role in two arrests related to a string of armed robberies in the Milwaukee area in 1976, and for thwarting a burglary in progress in 1980. Just hours after Dane County Circuit Judge Juan Colas decided that the state’s collective bargaining law was unconstitutional, reaction from liberals and conservatives erupted. A University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee police officer, who lived in Greenfield and was a graduate of Martin Luther High School, was remembered over the weekend. Bottsford Ave. for more than three decades, 26 years of which he was an employer and business partner Richard Van Zeeland, his son-in-law According to his obituary, Bejma was an avid fisherman and standout left-handed bowler.
