American Idol winner Jordin Sparks visited Greendale over the weekend to promote her new fragrance at Southridge Boston Store.
Everyone, be jealous. I got to meet Jordin Sparks. That’s right, I got to sit next to the winner of the sixth season of American Idol. All humor aside, Jordin was one of the sweetest, most energetic people I have ever met. The 22-year-old recording artist, songwriter, and actress was a ball of energy as she sat down with me Friday in Southridge Boston Store, where she was promoting her new fragrance Ambition. I was starstruck. Who wouldn’t be with a beautiful and talented person like JORDIN SPARKS? I managed to keep my composure and act professional. Here's how it went: Me: Tell me about your fragrance. The Village Board will review the store's proposed design for the permit application at their next meeting.
The Greendale Planning Commission approved a design for the exterior renovation of Southridge Boston Store. The Village Board will review the application that requests a permit to renovate both its north and west entrances at the July 17 meeting. The application says the estimated cost for the renovation is $150,000, which would be paid for entirely by BonTon. Boston Store is undergoing an $8 million interior renovation with the help of a $3 million TIF district from the Village. This also comes during a $52 million renovation of Southridge Mall, also partially funded through a TIF district. Macy's, known as one of Boston Store's competitors, opened its brand new store in the mall back in March.
