Things could get ugly tonight in southern Wisconsin and the National Weather Service says storms are a brewing, and they aren't ruling out a potential tornado.

According to the National Weather Service: An isolated threat for strong to severe storms with damaging winds and perhaps a brief tornado exists for southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois this evening. The primary threat is for damaging straight-line winds, but a brief tornado can't be ruled out according the The Storm Predication Center in Norman, OK. Maybe the lipstick she had just wasn't her shade, but a 25-year-old Port Washington woman is charged with being part of a massive health and beauty-shoplifting spree across southeastern Wisconsin. Amanda S. Bingham was charged in Racine County Circuit Court Friday with one count of retail theft. If convicted, she faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On July 14, a woman walked into a Caledonia Pick’n Save store with a man, then stuffed $641 worth of health and beauty products into a red bag and walked out the door without paying. Caledonia Police are asking the public for help in finding this couple, who are suspected of taking thousands of dollars in health and beauty products from area Pick'N Save stores.
Caledonia Police are searching for a couple suspected of taking more than $600 in health and beauty products from Pick’n Save, 5111 Douglas Ave., at 10:33 a.m. July 14. According to a press release from the Caledonia Police Department, the couple is also suspected of taking $1,200 in health and beauty products from a Pick’n Save store in Racine. There have also been similar thefts in Greenfield and Oak Creek. The male suspect is described as being 18 to 25 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 150 to 165 pounds and having short brown hair. The man was last seen wearing a short white v-neck T-shirt, and blue shorts. The female suspect is described as being 18 to 25 years-old, 5 feet, 4 inches to 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 130 to 150 …

Theft happened in Greenfield, but the cards got used at gas station here.
Caledonia and Greenfield police are looking for a woman they suspect was involved with the theft of a wallet in Greenfield and one of the credit cards was used in Caledonia. They released a photo of the woman to media outlets today. A wallet, which belonged to a Greendale woman, was found on top of the garbage at the Mobile gas station, 13600 Seven Mile Road at 9 p.m. Nov. 10, 2011. The owner of the wallet told police that her wallet had been stolen from her while she was at Pick’n Save, on 76th Street and Coldspring Road in Greenfield after 1:30 p.m. Caledonia Police worked with the Greenfield Police Department to identify a silver colored mini-van being at the gas station, which coincides the time that the gas was pumped on the stolen …

UPDATE: A Racine man is in police custody for taking jewelry at Kmart, 6141 Douglas Ave. in Caledonia on Oct. 1. Steven Mack, 45, of Racine, is also suspected of taking jewelry from J.C. Penny and Boston Store at the Regency Mall in Racine. At Boston Store, Mack is suspected of taking $28,000 in jewelry on Oct. 7 and taking $23,000 in jewelry from a Kmart store in Greenfield Oct. 1. Captain Paul Schlecht, of the Greenfield Police Department, said in his jurisdiction, Mack is suspected of grabbing a tray of rings, hiding them under his coat and leaving the store. “We’re still trying to put together a case,” Schlecht said. “Mr. Mack has invoked his right not to speak and we’re going to have to prove our case through other means.
