Where to Stay Cool in Greenfield During Heat Wave

The library, community center and police station will be open to those who need it.

In response to the extended period of severe heat and humidity, the City of Greenfield has opened several cooling stations where residents can go to escape the heat. They include the Greenfield Community Center and Greenfield Public Library, open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and the Greenfield Police Department, which is open 24 hours through Friday night. In addition, Greendale Patch has compiled a list of Greendale locations that will also provide relief to the extreme temperatures, including Southridge Mall.
