Milwaukee Man Allegedly Robbed Same Greenfield Credit Union Twice in 2011

John Macomber, 63, is facing two counts of armed robbery in connection to his alleged involvement in similar incidents at the Credit Union Service Center.

A 63-year-old Milwaukee man is in custody and facing charges of armed robbery after allegedly robbing the same Greenfield credit union twice in just over eight months. John Macomber was arrested near the Southridge Mall parking lot by the Greenfield Police Department on Dec. 29, shortly after allegedly robbing the Credit Union Service Center just off of 60th Street and Layton Avenue. According to the criminal complaint, Macomber entered the credit union, pointed a handgun at the teller and said, “Be good, cash.” Upon hearing from the teller the credit union had been robbed, another bank employee ran out the main door and observed Macomber get into his vehicle. Greenfield Credit Union Robbed; Suspect Apprehended at Southridge

A 62-year-old armed man is in custody after allegedly robbing Credit Union Service Center, 6126 W. Layton Ave., Thursday morning. According to the Greenfield Police Department, the man entered the credit union, displayed a handgun and demanded money. An unknown amount of money was handed over to the man who then fled the credit union in a small dark vehicle. Two witnesses followed the suspect and helped lead Greenfield and Greendale police to the car in the Southridge Mall parking lot. There, police apprehended the man and recovered money and a handgun. No one was injured during the incident. This same credit union was robbed earlier this year.
