Jealous Man Choked, Hit Girlfriend, Police Say

The 28-year-old Greenfield man accused his girlfriend of talking to or seeing the father of her child.

A 28-year-old Greenfield man is accused of choking his girlfriend after becoming jealous when he thought she had been talking to her ex. The man, whose identity is being withheld to protect the woman’s privacy, was charged with felony strangulation and suffocation - domestic abuse and misdemeanor battery – domestic abuse in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on March 28, after police say he punched his girlfriend and choked her in 8-10 second intervals for approximately one minute four days earlier. If convicted of both counts, he faces a maximum of 6 years and 9 months of imprisonment and $20,000 in fines. According to court documents, the boyfriend had been out drinking with friends. Man Abuses Girlfriend During Rent Argument, Police Say

The 22-year-old Greenfield man pushed his girlfriend's face into a wall, pulled her hair and more, according to police.

A 22-year-old Greenfield man is accused of abusing his girlfriend after an argument about paying rent turned physical. According to the Greenfield Police Department report, at about 3 p.m. Feb. 19, officers arrived at a home in the 3600 block of South 47th Street after receiving a call about an altercation between a boyfriend and girlfriend. During the 911 call, dispatchers heard the woman scream “Stop, get the (expletive) out of the house, don’t touch me, don’t hit me.” The mother of the 19-year-old victim told police the man often is physical with her daughter. Bomb threats, stolen weapons and an unusual domestic abuse case are some of the most serious crime and police stories in southeastern Wisconsin reported by Patch this week. Weapons stolen from Wauwatosa home: Five semi-automatic weapons, including an assault rifle, are on the streets after a burglary at a Wauwatosa home that held a "cache" of unsecured firearms and ammunition. Man Accused of Dragging Woman By Hair While Holding Child

The man also is accused of grabbing a necklace from around the woman's neck and ripping it off, causing several welts.

A 21-year-old Greenfield man is accused of dragging a woman around the room by her hair while holding the couple’s young child in the other arm. According to the criminal complaint, the woman came to the man’s apartment in the 4000 block of South 35th Street on Feb. 15. Once there, she gave their child to the man so she could get some sleep. The couple began to argue about how the man was taking care of the child. During the argument, the man, whose identity is not being revealed in order to protect the victim, grabbed the woman by the hair and dragged her around the living room. Man Told Wife He'd Cut Off Her Head, Eat It, Police Say

Police said a Greenfield man denied threatening to eat his wife's head during an argument, but did say he would cut it off and toss it out the window.

A 60-year-old Greenfield man is accused of telling his wife he was going to cut her head off and eat it while they were having a heated argument in their home. The man was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Monday with one count of disorderly conduct-domestic abuse. If convicted, he faces up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines. Man Accused of Repeated Sexual Assault of a Disabled Woman

A Milwaukee man is accused of repeatedly beating and sexually assaulting a Greenfield woman with cerebral palsy.

A Greenfield woman with cerebral palsy told police she was repeatedly—and brutally—sexually assaulted by a Milwaukee man.  Kahlil A. Jaber, 43, is charged with second-degree sexual assault and battery-domestic abuse. If convicted, he faces nearly 26 years in prison and $110,000 in fines.  The Greenfield woman—who knew Jaber, according to the criminal complaint—says he whipped her with an extension cord and used objects to sexually assault her.  The woman called police to her apartment on Nov. 16, reporting the sexual assault. Greenfield police say a South Milwaukee man, 44, tried to run down his ex-wife and her landlord while they were standing outside of her apartment.

A South Milwaukee man is accused of trying to run over his ex-wife and her landlord with his vehicle outside of her Greenfield apartment. The 44-year-old man was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Monday with one count of disorderly conduct domestic abuse and two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment of safety. Man Tries to Hit Mom, Then Hides Under a Tarp in Van

A Greenfield man faces charges after he allegedly took a swing at his mom before ripping her phone off the wall when she tried to call the cops.

A 42-year-old Greenfield man is facing charges after he allegedly tried to hit his mom in the face, then later hid from police under a tarp in a van. According to the criminal complaint: The suspect, who isn’t being identified in order to protect the name of the victim, began to swear at his mom around 1:16 a.m. Sunday, inside their residence in the 8800 block of West Waterford Square North then attempted to hit her in the face. Greenfield Homicide Suspect Strikes Plea Deal

Regina Rath plead guilty to first-degree reckless homicide for shooting her husband just four days before her trial was set to begin.

A Greenfield woman accused of shooting and killing her husband inside their home last summer for sleeping with other women has struck a last-minute plea deal with prosecutors and will avoid trial. Regina Rath, 46, plead guilty Thursday to one count of first-degree reckless homicide. In exchange, prosecutors have dropped one count of use of a dangerous weapon, which drops five years off a maximum sentence. She could still face up to 60 years in prison with the conviction. Her trial was slated to begin Monday. She has been taken into custody by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department until she's sentenced. Bill allows GPS tracking for those who violate restraining orders.

Violent domestic abusers could be deterred from repeating if a bill allowing the court to have a person who violates a restraining order be placed under GPS monitoring is passed by the State Assembly and signed by Gov. Scott Walker. It’s a bill that Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) says an overwhelming majority of his constituents, which include Greenfield residents, are in favor of. “In a survey that I sent to my constituents, 96 percent of respondents stated that the use of these high-tech tools is appropriate to help law enforcement and restore safety and peace of mind to victims of domestic abuse,” Carpenter, the co-author of the bill, said in a statement.
