Police: Shoplifting Incident Leads to Police Chase

Two Milwaukee men are accused of stealing $7,600 in merchandise from Best Buy, then fleeing from Greenfield police officers.

Two Milwaukee men are accused of stealing more than $7,000 of items from Best Buy, then leading Greenfield police officers on a high-speed chase down West Layton Avenue. Lezar Dexter Burnside, 25, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Monday with one count of felony retail theft, while Antonio Lamar Hogan, 25, was charged with one count of retail theft of more than $5,000 and one count of attempting to flee an officer. If convicted, Hogan faces up to 4 ½ years in prison and $20,000 in fines, while Burnside faces up to three years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
