Hundreds of families celebrated the start of the Greenfield Little League season on Saturday at Kulwicki Park. Greenfield Little Leage Registration is Sunday

Online registration will not be offered this year, but in-person registration will be held at Greenfield High School.

  The second session of registration for the 2013 Greenfield Little League season is Sunday, Jan. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Greenfield High School cafeteria. There will be no online registration this year. Fees for this year are: There is a $160 per-family maximum registration fee. For more information, visit the Little League Facebook page.

Greenfield Little League Registration is Sunday

Online registration will not be offered this year, but in-person registration will be held at Greenfield High School.

Registration for the 2013 Greenfield Little League season is Sunday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Greenfield High School cafeteria. There will be no online registration this year! Fees for this year are: There is a $160 per-family maximum registration fee. Greenfield Middle School National Junior Honor Society members will be on hand for parents and guardians who bring little children to registration day. The students will watch a movie with the children or play bingo and color with them in a designated area that will also be monitored by Little League board members. Greenfield Little League will be hosting indoor hitting and pitching clinics during the winter.  You must be a registered player in order to sign up for the clinics…

Little League Benefit to Support Stabbing Victim's Children

The Greenfield Little League will donate all proceeds from its all-star games and home run derby to Maggie Litwicki's children, one of whom was a first-year player in the league this summer.

When members of the Greenfield Little League heard about Saturday’s tragic stabbing of a 37-year-old Greenfield woman, and word got out about the family involved, it didn’t take long for league board members to step up to the plate. Within hours, they were discussing what the league could do to help and with the season rapidly nearing its end, the league moved quickly and swiftly in the hopes of turning its season-ending spectacle into a huge fundraiser for one of its own. On Wednesday, July 25, starting at 5:45 p.m., the organization will be raising money for the three Gish/Litwicki siblings whose mother killed July 14. Kaleb Gish is a first-year Little League member and played this season on the Rookie Diamondbacks. His father …

Little League season opened with a bang at Kulwicki Park in Greenfield on Saturday. The Klement's Racing Sausages handed out gift cards and posed with fans, the Maple Grove Elementary School choir sang the national anthem and Mayor Michael Neitzke threw out the ceremonial first pitch. There are 42 teams and 145 players who participate in the Greenfield Little League. Greenfield Patch wants to see your Little League photos from Opening Day or at any time during the season. Greenfield Little League's Season Finale is Saturday

The league will celebrate the season as well as honor players and families that stood out over the last few months.

Just a few short months ago, Greenfield Little League was celebrating its Opening Day. On Saturday, it's closing day, and the league will celebrate that as well. In addition to loads of baseball action, fans will be treated to a dunk tank, raffle and spirit wear for sale at Kulwicki Park. Games begin at 10 a.m. and conclude with the minor division championship between the Orioles and Dodgers at 6 p.m. The major division championship between the Brewers and Rangers will be at 5 p.m. In addition, the Greenfield Little League leadership awards will be presented to 33 players and their families chosen by coaches and managers from the league's 436 players. The Greenfield Little League's season kicked off with Opening Day ceremonies Saturday at Alan Kulwicki Park.

The sounds and smells of summer abounded Saturday as the Greenfield Little League celebrated its Opening Day in Alan Kulwicki Park. In addition to local officials and fire and police department representatives, the Klements Sausages were on hand to welcome hundreds of kids and parents to the festivities.

Play Ball! Greenfield Little League's Opening Day is Saturday

Mayor Michael Neitzke will throw out the first pitch.

The Greenfield Little League opens its season with Opening Day ceremonies Alan Kulwicki Park on Saturday. Festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. when the Greenfield High School's Jr. ROTC will present colors. Greenfield Mayor Michael Neitzke will give an Opening Day proclamation and then throw out the ceremonious first pitch. Games are scheduled throughout the day. The Klement’s Racing Sausages and the Greenfield Fire and Police Departments will be available for meet-and-greets with players, families and friends through 2 p.m. A demonstration by the police department's K9 unit is pending field availability. Little League Lease Expected to be Renewed by School District

Concerns were raised earlier this month about schedule conflicts.

The Greenfield Little League and the Greenfield School District appear to be on the same team once again. The Greenfield School Board unanimously agreed to renew Little League’s lease with the district, on Superintendent Conrad Farner’s recommendation, allowing the organization to use the baseball field at Glenwood Middle School as well as Chapman Fields. In exchange, Little League will pay a fee of $1 and all costs to maintain the fields. “They get (to use) our fields for the maintenance of the fields,” Farner said. The decision to renew the lease was made at Monday’s School Board Meeting and is expected to be approved at the next scheduled meeting Monday, March 7.
