GHS Receives Federal Funds to Improve School Climate

The funds are part of the Safe and Supportive grant.

Greenfield High School has won a $75,000 grant for programs designed to keep students engaged in their education through a safe and supportive school environment. GHS is one of 56 high schools in 19 school districts throughout Wisconsin that are sharing $3.8 million in federal grant money designated for these efforts. GHS will use its money to develop and implement programs designed to promote a positive school climate and decrease disciplinary referrals, according to Greenfield’s Director of Educational Services Todd Bugnacki. The funds will be targeted towards programs and activities that focus on school safety, school environment, student engagement, and increased capacity for making data-driven decisions.
