The City of Greenfield has plans to repair Edgerton Avenue from 76th Street to 68th Street beginning June 15.
Work on West Edgerton Avenue in Greenfield just north of Southridge Mall will begin by June 15, after the City of Greenfield approved a contract with Stark Asphalt to repair and improve the road from South 68th Street to South 76th Street. The work is expected to be completed by Sep. 15. The work will be completed in two phases. In the first phase between South 74th and 76th Streets, the street will be widened, east and west turn lanes added, new crosswalks constructed, and updated traffic signals with four-way turn arrows installed. Construction began on its new location in the Greenfield Place strip mall on 74th Street just north of Southridge Mall.
John Mosier, owner of Daddy-Yo's Frozen Yogurt, said in an email to Patch his family-owned yogurt shop is on schedule to open in mid-June. Construction at the shop, located at 4874 S. 74th St., in the Greenfield Place shopping center just north of Southridge Mall, just began. Check back with Patch for more updates on Daddy-Yo's opening.

The new store is being built on a Walmart outlot on 76th Street in Greendale and should be completed this summer.
Construction of the new U.S. Cellular store on 76th Street in Greendale began this week on an outlot of Walmart. The new store, which replaces a smaller store in Greenfield at the corner of 76th Street and Edgerton Avenue, is expected to be completed this summer. Chick-fil-A will occupy the other outlot to the south, but the chain restaurant is not expected to be built until sometime next year. U.S. Cellular's opening is the latest addition to the the 76th Street commercial corridor.

Officials mall tell a local business that it needs to move to let a chain store move in temporarily.
Board Game Barrister, located in the Southridge Mall, has been asked to move so that a temporary Victoria's Secret store can take its place, according to a story by FOX6 News. An official with the game store say it is doing well in its location and he doesn't want to relocate. “Compared to the first February at Southridge to the first February here, we’re doing better at Southridge,” Executive Manager Gordon Lugauer told the station. Officials with the mall said they offered the owner another location and they are trying to enhance the mall's shopping appeal, but Lugauer told FOX6 reporter that the other locations wouldn't be as good for the business. LOFT, originally Ann Taylor, will be opening at Southridge Mall in February. The chain of women's clothing will be one of many stores that have joined the tenant-mix at Southridge since its $52 million renovation started. Restaurant chain pays $1.285 million for lot in front of new Walmart store on 76th Street.
Plans to open a new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Greendale took another step forward as the the chain has purchased a lot for the freestanding store on 76th Street. The Business Journal is reporting that the Atlanta-based company paid $1.285 million for a lot in front of the under-construction Walmart store on 76th Street. The Greendale Plan Commission in October approved the construction of the 4,779-square-foot restuarant, which would be the second one in Wisconsin. The other one is located at Regency Mall in Racine. The restaurant will seat 109 people and will have a drive-through, outdoor dining, and an indoor playground.
