MARC Teams With Santa for Puppy Delivery

The Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center helped Jeffrey the Dog find a home with two unsuspecting children at Southridge Mall on Thursday.

The Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center, with some help from Santa Claus, pulled off a Christmas surprise on a grand scale Thursday at Southridge Mall. After meeting with parents interested in adopting a puppy for their two young children, both of whom had asked for a dog in letters to Santa, MARC officials found a match in a young puppy named Jeffrey. What's more, MARC arranged for the children, who thought they were coming to Southridge Mall to get their picture taken with Santa, to receive their new dog while sitting on Santa's lap. Check out the YouTube video of the heartwarming event!

Jordin Sparks Dishes On Third Album While at Southridge Mall

American Idol winner Jordin Sparks visited Greendale over the weekend to promote her new fragrance at Southridge Boston Store.

Everyone, be jealous. I got to meet Jordin Sparks. That’s right, I got to sit next to the winner of the sixth season of American Idol. All humor aside, Jordin was one of the sweetest, most energetic people I have ever met. The 22-year-old recording artist, songwriter, and actress was a ball of energy as she sat down with me Friday in Southridge Boston Store, where she was promoting her new fragrance Ambition. I was starstruck. Who wouldn’t be with a beautiful and talented person like JORDIN SPARKS? I managed to keep my composure and act professional. Here's how it went: Me: Tell me about your fragrance. Jordin: This is my third one. Now that I have done the first two — I love the other two — for me it's just being involved in the process. …

PHOTOS: Black Friday Shoppers Pack Southridge

Black Friday is typically the busiest shopping day of the year, and at Southridge Mall it lived up to those expectations.

Southridge Mall was a hopping place late Thursday and throughout Black Friday shoppes swarmed to the mall to get some great deals. The lines formed outside the mall well before midnight and the deals offered by retailers brought people in droves despite the dropping temperatures and heavy winds.

A New Southridge for Black Friday

Shoppers can get into Southridge starting at 11 p.m. Thursday and wait for stores to open at midnight.

After the final piece of turkey is gone, the last snap of football completed and the inevitable food coma that follows that third helping of pumpkin pie, another Thanksgiving comes to an end for families across the nation. But just because the food and football is over doesn’t mean it’s time to let sleep whisk the rest of the day away. In fact, you might want to set an alarm or make sure one of your family members wakes you up from your slumber so you can get out and enjoy another tradition—Black Friday shopping. “There is an excitement,” said Mary Mokwa, manager of Southridge Mall. “Based on the sales trends we’ve seen this year, there’s a buildup to the holiday season and I think people are going to spending more in addition to enjoying …

We didn't know if it was allowed or not - rules be darned - my kid, great Santa - I'm taking the picture!   more ›
