Franklin Man Allegedly Tries to Punch Greenfield Cop

Suspect tries to run after the officer is going to arrest him, then takes a swing at the cop before being taken to the ground.

A 35-year-old Franklin man is facing charges after he allegedly tried to punch a Greenfield police officer trying to take him into custody. Juan C. Medina was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of resisting an officer. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On July 23, a Greenfield police officer was investigating a case of child neglect and he went to Medina’s apartment in the 6300 block of South 35th Street because he was a person of interest in the case. Oak Creek Woman and Boyfriend Charged in Massive Forged Prescription Ring

Suspects allegedly had people go to pharmacies across the area and try to obtain Oxycodone. They were charged Tuesday along with seven others.

An Oak Creek woman and her boyfriend are facing charges after they allegedly headed up a widespread attempt to pass forged prescriptions for Oxycodone at pharmacies in Oak Creek, Milwaukee, Franklin, West Allis and Greenfield. Barbara C. Flanders, 34, of Oak Creek and Daniel Ellery Sonsthangen, 35, of Milwaukee, were charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday along with seven other people. Authorities say they obtained a stolen prescription pad and used it to pass fake prescriptions across Milwaukee County. According to the criminal complaint: Oak Creek police received word in February that forged prescriptions were being passed at pharmacies across Milwaukee County from a prescription pad stolen from the Shafi Medical Center, 1919 …

Texting, Drinking Allegedly Lead to Greenfield Woman Crashing into Trees

The woman was texting while driving drunk before her car left the roadway on Loomis Road.

A 22-year-old Greenfield woman is facing drunk driving charges after she crashed into some trees in Franklin after driving drunk and texting.   Ann E. Riemer was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Tuesday with one count of second offense operating while intoxicated and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration. If convicted, she could face up to six months in prison and $1,100 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Jan. 18, a Franklin police officer spotted Riemer’s car about 50 feet off the road in some trees in the 11200 block of West Loomis Road.
