Bio: David Cotey comes to Patch after nearly a decade with NOW Newspapers (formerly CNI Newspapers), where he was a senior sports writer and editor for multiple communities, including Greenfield. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee alum is a multi-time Wisconsin Newspapers Association and Suburban Newspapers Association award winner. He and his wife Angela have two children: Hannah and Carson.

Politics 
How would you describe your political beliefs?

To borrow a line from one of the greatest country songs of all times, "I'm not a real political man."

Are you registered with a certain party?

I am not.

Religion
How religious would you consider yourself? (casual, observant, devout, non religious)

When I was younger, I attended a Catholic grade school for a number of years, but my family and I are now members of Whitnall Park Lutheran Church in Hales Corners. We currently attend casually.

What do you think are the most important issues facing the community?

Admittedly, I'm a newbie when it comes to covering topics outside of sports, but I promise, with the help of Greenfield Patch readers, I'll learn the hot-button issues in time.
