Rash of Snatch-and-Grabs Hit Greenfield Neighborhood

According to the Greenfield Police Department, at least a half-dozen residents reported their cars were entered overnight July 21.

A number of residents within blocks of each other had items stolen from their vehicles overnight July 21.

According to the Greenfield Police Department, a stereo was taken from a vehicle in the 6400 block of West Cold Spring Road, and just up the road, in the 7000 block, a man said his GPS and a few dollars in change were taken from his two unlocked vehicles parked on his driveway.

That wasn’t the only GPS to go missing. A woman in the 4400 block of South 68th Street told police hers was taken from her car parked in the alley.

But that’s not all.

A resident in the 6600 block of West Bottsford Avenue told police items had been taken from a vehicle, but did not file a report, and about $15 in change was taken from a pair of vehicles parked in the driveway at a home in the 6800 block of West Allerton Avenue.

Another resident on Allerton Avenue, this one in the 6900 block, told police his truck was rummaged through but was unsure if anything was missing.

Also, a man in the 4500 block of South 72nd Street said his unlocked car was entered but it is unclear if items were missing.
