Woman Blames Missed Test on Car Break-In, Police Say

But when Greenfield police ask for details about the car that had items taken from it, the ITT Technical College student couldn't provide any.

Maybe the instructors at ITT Technical College have run across one too many dog-eating-homework stories in the past.

A student from the school, 6125 W. Layton Ave., came to the Greenfield police station just before midnight July 29, to report a theft from her vehicle that she said occurred 11 days earlier at the Credit Union Service Center near the school.

According to police, the woman told them her college instructor required proof she missed a test July 18 because she was dealing with the theft from her car that day.

When police asked her for information about the vehicle that she claimed the items were stolen from, however, she couldn’t provide any.

Police told her to get back to them when she had the necessary information to pursue an investigation. It is unclear if the woman returned.
