Firefighters Pull in More Than $32,000 Through 'Fill the Boot'

The money will help the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Members of the Greenfield Fire Department spent three days accepting donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Fill the Boot program and ended up surpassing last year's total.

The firefighters were at the corner of Layton Avenue and 76th Street on and collected $32,762 from motorists and pedestrians, beating last year's total of $30,000.

All donations will benefit local MDA clients and services like sending children and young adults to MDA Summer Camp in Camp Lake, funding clinic visits at Froedtert Memorial Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and financing wheelchair repairs.
