The show, which documents the Stars and Stripes Honor Flights taken by WWII veterans to Washington, D.C., will be in the area for the next six weeks.

Updated Feb. 25

Since 2008, the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight has flown more than 2,200 World War II veterans to Washington, D.C., to see the WWII Memorial.

Just last year, a movie documenting the Honor Flights broke a world record at Miller Park.

And now, those who wish to show their support for veterans or experienced the often times emotional trips the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight takes these veterans on can do so through the Honor Flight Art Show, a travelling display of more than 120 professional photographs that tell the story of what the Honor Flight is all about.

“While our main mission is to get the veterans to D.C., and the timing is urgent as the WWII veterans are now in their 90s, another mission is to inspire and educate the public the importance of our American history," said Eileen Wilson, a Stars and Stripes Honor Flight board member and the art show's manager. “One of the ways to do this is through the Honor Flight Art Show.”
