Entertainment, Activities Lineup For Saturday's Whitnall Block Party

This year’s Whitnall School District Back-to-School Block Party will be the biggest since in four years, with just fewer than 50 exhibits, including food vendors, sponsor booths, activity stations and more.

The fun begins at noon, on the 116th Street between Whitnall's high school and middle school, and lasts until 7 p.m.

Here is the entire schedule of activities and entertainment:

• Noon-7 p.m.: Sign the pledge to Band Together To Stop Texting & Driving at Braeger Automotive booth. Today’s TMJ4 and 620 WTMJ radio personalities are scheduled to appear
• Noon-7 p.m.: laser tag courtesy of Laser Tag Anywhere; $3 per game and waiver required.
• Noon-6:30 p.m.: children’s carnival games, face painting and inflatables on Whitnall Middle School grounds
• Noon-6 p.m.: dunk tank featuring Whitnall teachers and Whitnall High School student senate president Katelyn Stamas
• Noon-3 p.m.: Hales Corners Elementary music drum circle demonstrations (near rock wall)
• Noon-12:30 p.m.:  Mitchell McGlinn solo musical performance (entertainment tent)
• Noon: High school cheerleading demo (children's inflatable area
• Noon-1pm: iPad Showcase (across from entertainment tent)
• 12:30 p.m.: dance team performance (food vendor/sponsor area)
• 12:30-1 p.m.: appearance by Bango from Milwaukee Bucks (Braeger booth)
• 12:30-3 p.m.: Whitnall Art Department  art activity table (carnival game area)
• 1-6 p.m.: rock climbing wall courtesy of Adventure Rock
• 1-1:45 p.m.: DownFall band (entertainment tent)
• 2:15-3 p.m.: Muscle of Love band (entertainment tent)
• 3 p.m.: WHS marching band performance (WMS field)
• 3:30-4:15 p.m.: Red 22 band (entertainment tent)
• 4-4:30 p.m.: Greenfield Police Dept. K-9 demonstration (near rock wall)
• 4:25-5 p.m.: WHS drama department performance (entertainment tent)
• 5-5:20 p.m.: East-West Connection Martial Arts demonstrations (behind East-West sponsor booth near entertainment tent)
• 5:30-6:30 p.m.: Saturday Detention band (entertainment tent)
• 6:30-7 p.m.: Prize drawing (entertainment tent)
