If you've driven near the busy intersection of 76th Street and Layton Avenue in recent days, you may have noticed signs for Monro Auto Service Center have replaced those on the former Car-X building.
Back in August, Monro Muffler Brake Inc. purchased 17 corporate-owned Tuffy Muffler and Car-X stores in Wisconsin and South Carolina.
Greenfield's Car-X, 7500 W. Layton Ave., was among the 12 Wisconsin Car-X stores included in the deal.
The New York-based Monro operates 837 stores in 19 states, and the August deal was the company's first move into Wisconsin.
