Parking Structure Where Greenfield Teen Was Killed Expected to Re-Open This Week

The O'Donnell Park garage could open Tuesday, just in time for Summerfest.

Friday marked the one-year anniversary of the tragic death of Greenfield teenager Jared Kellner, who died when a 13-ton slab of concrete fell on him at the O'Donnell Park garage while he was on his way to Summerfest last June.

On Friday, according to a story by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the garage, which has been closed since the accident, was slated to reopen Tuesday, just in time for this year's Summefest festivities, which open Wednesday.

Kellner's friend Eric Wosinki and another person were injured in the accident.

Earlier this year, the Kellner and Wosinki families filed lawsuits against four companies they believe were responsible for the collapse, just before the state legislature approved a measure making it more difficult for families to collect damages in similar accidents.
