Pick 'n Save Grand Opening in Pictures

Hundreds of people enjoyed the festivities.

Hundreds of people filed in and out of the during a grand-opening preview Monday evening.

The store, which officially opens to the public at 6 a.m. Tuesday, replaces the previous across the street.

Attendees stood in lines for free samples of Roundy's goods, and children enjoyed face painting and other festivities.

The ceremony included live music and a ribbon-cutting event, which was attended by State Representatives Peggy Krusick and Jeff Stone, Greenfield Mayor Michael Neitzke, many city alderpersons and Roundy's officials. During the ceremony, Roundy's donated $5,000 to the Greenfield Public Library Foundation.

Hey Pat. Great question. From my understanding, a postcard was mailed out a few weeks ago to many Greenfield residents (don't know how many). Greenfield Patch had a story on the opening Aug. 3 (right around the time postcards were delivered), and the grand opening had been on the events calendar for a few days. Sorry you missed out. Hope this helps.

As I understood it, the Grand Opening (and the cards that were sent out) was for the immediate neighborhood, not the entire City. I think the store opens to the public officially today.

live 4 blocks away and didn't receive anything in the mail. but I will drive the distance to go to Woodmands or go to Sendiks and haven't step foot in a pick 'n save in at least 5 or 6 yrs. I HATE pick n save.

I personally love that pick n save. I have shopped with my mom and fmaily in the old one across the street for 25 years or better yet since birth. it is a very nice store and I love so far everything about it including the way the produse area all the way down to the meat section is laid out and I definetely loved the bakery :) Will be looking forward to shopping there again more in the future of course when it is not so crowded and hoping to learn where everything is fast. We did get the post card in the mail but did not attend last night's festivities but we are just so glad that it is FINALLY open.

I was impressed with how quick and efficient they built the new store and after walking through it, very happy with the outcome.
