Known Drug Dealer Tells Police he Was Victim of Armed Robbery

Greenfield police are investigating reports that a man they are quite familiar with was robbed by gunpoint, along with two other men, at a Greenfield home May 23.

Greenfield police are investigating reports that a man they are quite familiar with was robbed by gunpoint, along with his father and his father’s friend, at a Greenfield home May 23.

According to the Greenfield Police Department report, the victim told police a friend of his had been bugging him for a pound of weed for about a week. When the victim was finally able to round up a pound to sell to his friend, he invited his friend over to his father’s home in the 4400 block of South 43rd Street around 7 p.m.

His friend showed up around 7 p.m. that night with two other men. Once inside, two of the men pulled guns on the victim, he told police. A third man had entered the house through another entrance and had the victim’s father and his father’s friend down on the kitchen floor at gunpoint.

The suspects took 13 baseball hats, a 32-gigabyte iPod touch and 16 video games from the home. One of the suspects also took $200 cash from one of the men forced to the ground in the kitchen.

Greenfield police have responded to multiple incidents at the home, many relating to drugs, thefts and similar robberies, according to the report. The victim is known to transport and possess significant amounts of marijuana, the report added.

Police found a marijuana grinder, a bong and a digital scale used to weigh drugs in the home and the victim was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
