Man Violates Concealed Carry Law With Unique Weapon

He told police he used the item for gardening.

A 23-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for toting an unusual weapon in his car last week.

The reason he gave police for possessing it was just as unusual.

A Greenfield police officer pulled over the man in the 5000 block of South 27th Street at approximately 4:40 p.m. Feb. 27. When the vehicle stopped, the officer noticed the driver reach down as if he was trying to move something between the driver’s seat and the driver’s door, according to the Greenfield Police report.
