Police Blotter: Week Filled with Rabbits, Deer and Alleged Drug Users

These incidents were reported to the Greenfield Police Department last week.

The does not spend all of its time busting bad guys. Officers apparently have a soft spot for our four-legged friends as well.

On Feb. 29, a caller reported a domesticated black and white rabbit about 30 feet south of a walking trail that pops out of the brush and watches passersby in the area of South 116th Street and West Morgan Avenue.

An officer located the rabbit but could not apprehend it “due to its elusiveness and ability to hide in the long grass,” according to the department’s weekly log.
