Potty Parts Pilfered from McDonald's

Two expensive electronic mechanisms were taken from the men's bathroom at McDonald's on 27th Street on Oct. 9.

"Metal flushing mechanism" isn't on the McDonald's menu, but that didn't stop a thief from ordering, er, taking a pair of them from a Greenfield McDonald's last week.

According to the Greenfield Police Department report, an employee at McDonald's, 4275 S. 27th St., reported to police that sometime between 1-2:30 p.m. Oct. 9, someone stole the metal flushing mechanism to the urinal and toilet in the men's bathroom.

The employee told police the mechanisms are electronic-based, making them very expensive, and that one plumber told the employee the parts would cost approximately $500 each to replace.

The employee also told police that three other local McDonald's have had the same bathroom mechanisms taken.
