US Bank on 27th Street Robbed Tuesday Afternoon

Greenfield police are looking for a suspect who they say handed the teller a note indicating he was armed.

Greenfield police are investigating a robbery at US Bank, 4333 S. 27th Street, which occurred just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

According to Greenfield Police Chief Brad Wentlandt, police are looking for a white male in his 20s or 30s with long, dark curly hair. Police say he entered the bank and gave a teller a note indicating he was armed.

The man was approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build and was wearing a long-sleeve black and white shirt, blue jeans a black baseball cap and sunglasses. More photos of the man are available on the Greenfield police Facebook page.

He ran for several blocks before being picked up by someone in a black, older car.

Police do not have any suspects in custody.

The bank was robbed twice in 2009.
