Chris Abele Wants Concealed Weapons Banned From County Buildings

The request comes as many municipalities decide what to do at their own facilities.

While many municipalities, including Greenfield, are taking a wait-and-see approach to concealed carry weapons in public buildings, Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele today made it clear where he stands.

Abele told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel he wants concealed weapons banned from county buildings.

Concealed weapons are already prohibited from the county courthouse, jail and Mitchell International Airport's terminal, but Abele wants to also ban them from park buildings, the Mental Health Complex, the Milwaukee County Zoo and other county facilities, according to the story.
