Community Center Wall-Breaking Ceremony Wednesday

Project will convert old library into city community center.

The renovation of the city's old library into the new community center will ceremoniously begin this week.

City officials will swing a celebratory sledge hammer in a wall-breaking ceremony at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the old library, 7216 W. Cold Spring Rd.

The project will be completely in donations gathered in recent years, including $20,000 from Ted Balistreri, owner of Sendik's Food Market, last month.
