West Allis resident and Milwaukee County Board Supervisor Joe Sanfelippo will run for the 15th District's seat in the Wisconsin State Assembly in the fall election.
Sanfelippo (R-West Allis) made the announcement Monday that he will throw his name in the ring to represent the newly redrawn district that includes parts of West Allis and New Berlin. Tony Staskunas (D-West Allis) is in his seventh term as the district's representative.

"We as legislators and citizens need to make sure that when our kids finish school, whether it is at the college, graduate, technical, or trade school level, they have the opportunity and incentive to stay right here in Wisconsin. This is how we will continue moving Wisconsin forward.”
As a state representative, Sanfelippo said he would work to continue improving the business climate by eliminating what he called "outdated, costly regulations" so that Wisconsin can compete for business that will provide reliable, good-paying jobs.
