Park's Baseball Field Improvements Approved

Zablocki Park will experience an expensive upgrade thanks in part to a donation former Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder.

Despite opposition by those who felt the money could be better spent, the Milwaukee County Board approved a plan to upgrade Zablocki Park's baseball diamonds this week.

The board voted to use $220,000 of community development block grant money for the project, money that was to be used for other community-based programs. In addition, $40,000 comes as a donation by former Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder.
