XI.    Citizen’s Oral Remarks - Citizens may raise a subject that does not appear on a School Board meeting agenda, however, the Board is not allowed to have extensive discussion of items not properly posted under the Open Meetings law. If Board action is ultimately necessary, deliberation and action related to the subject must be deferred to a later meeting for which proper and specific notice can be given.

A.    Administrative Recommendations

1.    Discuss and may take action to update/revise School Board Policies:

  • 5113 – Open Enrollment Program (Inter-District) (Revised)
  • 5460 – Graduation Requirements (Revised)

2.    Discuss and may take action to approve Youth Options requests.

3.    Discuss and may take action to approve summer school programs for 2012.

4.    Discuss and may take action to approve a donation from the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Foundation.

5.    Discuss and may take action to approve retirements for those employees who are eligible under the previous retirement criteria and submitted their intention to retire after the 2011-12 school year.

6.    Discuss and may take action to approve the elimination of retirement benefits for management team members and replace with a defined contribution program.

7.    Discuss and may take action regarding revenue generating activities through community
based activities.

B.    Committee Recommendations

1. Business Administration Committee

a. Discuss and may take action to approve 2012-13 budget assumptions and 5-year forecast.

b. Discuss and may take action to approve prioritization of 2011-12 buildings and grounds projects.

c. Discuss and may take action to authorize the administration investigating and developing a formal resolution for the District to establish a Trust for funding post- employment liabilities.

2. Human Resources Committe

C.    Proposals by Board Members and any related action

1.    Acknowledge and approve attendance at upcoming conferences by Board members.

2.    Reports by Board members about conference(s) recently attended.

XIV.    Move to Closed Executive Session Discussions

A.    The School Board may discuss and consider information regarding staff members pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(c) and (f), of which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of the persons referred to in such information.

B.    The School may confer with legal counsel with respect to litigation for which the Board is or is likely to become involved pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)(g), Wis. Stats.

C.    The School Board may discuss negotiation strategies with bargaining units, contracts, specific personnel, and district personnel policies and guidelines as each may pertain to Act 10, pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)(c) and (e), Wis. Stats.
