Greenfield School Board Race Highlights Primary Election Ballot

A circuit court judge primary is also on the ballot.

Voters heading to the polls in Greenfield on Tuesday have only two races to decide.

The race with the most local impact is that of Greenfield School Board, where seven candidates are vying for three seats in April's general election. Candidates are Len Cich, Mike Gierl, incumbent Rick Moze, Paul Palama, Russ Spahn, Brad Sponholz and Cathy Walsh. One of them will be eliminated from contention tomorrow.

In an unscientific poll posted by Patch on Thursday, Walsh (117 votes), Spahn (108) and Moze (40) had garnered the most votes of 304 cast by Patch users as of 4 p.m. Monday. In a Patch poll posted in January when the list of candidates was finalized, Walsh, Spahn and Moze claimed the top three spots as well.

Voters will also choose a Milwaukee County Circuit Court judge. Nelson Wesley Phillips III, Christopher Lipscomb and Carolina Maria Stark are running for the position. Here are the official websites for Stark, Lipscomb and Phillips, and here is Patch's story on the race.

The top two vote-getter will advance to the general election April 3.
