Greenfield School District Seeks Assessment and Data Coordinator

The position was posted instead of one for a director of secondary education.

The Greenfield School District is searching for an Assessment and Data Coordinator to fill the the void left by John Thomsen, the district's director of secondary education.

Thomsen , leaving a large hole on the Greenfield administration team.

The assessment and data coordinator, according to Greenfield Superintendent Conrad Farner,Β will focus on helping teachers, principals, students and parents "use the myriad data sources that exist to help identify students' strengths and weaknesses, programmatic needs, instructional changes, curriculum adjustments and our local assessment needs."

"We have entered an era of unprecedented data points, software capability and access and demand for information, combined with increased expectations and calls for accountability, so we need this position," Farner said. "Unfortunately, we also need a director of secondary ed, but this position will not be doing what John was doing.

Farner said himself, Todd Bugnacki, Director of Elementary Education,Β and Kristin Kollath, Director of Business Services,Β will be absorbing Thomsen's responsibilities.
