Next Up For Whitnall School Board: Deciding How to Prioritize Facilities Projects

The board authorized the sale of general obligation promissory notes at Monday's meeting.

Now that they have the funds, next up is what are they going to spend it on first.

The Whitnall School Board will begin to prioritize the at a work session June 6, two weeks after authorizing the issuance and sale of general obligation promissory notes.

The board unanimously approved the issuance and sale of the notes at Monday’s meeting, for an amount not to exceed $6.5 million, following a presentation of the proposed financing plan by Mike Clark of Robert W Baird.

The resolution to borrow $6.5 million was passed in March.

The board also approved the contract for the district's Core 4 charter school and accepted the resignation of business manager Amy Kohl, who will be leaving for a similar position in another district.

“I want to say many thanks for the years you’ve been here and the many, many hours you’ve put in here,” Whitnall School Board president Bill Osterndorf said.

“Some days I know it’s not fun being here are board meetings, but we certainly appreciate the hard work you’ve put in,” Osterndorf added.
