Reduction in Number of Meetings, No Reduction in Pay

Despite a request from former board members, the public voted to keep the Greenfield School Board's pay the same for 2011-2012.

At least two former Greenfield School Board members asked that the pay of current members be reduced now that the board meets just once a month.

According to a story by Greenfield NOW, both Robert Huele and Donald Almquist spoke at the Greenfield School District's Annual Meeting on Monday, and asked for a reduction in pay from the current rate of $4,200.

The board used to meet twice a month when Huele and Almquist were members, but now meets once a month at the request of the administration, according to the story.
