Greenfield Softball Team Set for Sectional Showdown

The Hustlin' Hawks will visit second-seeded Muskego at 4:30 p.m.

To reach the WIAA sectional final Friday, the Greenfield softball team will first have to get past a familiar foe Tuesday.

The third-seeded Hustlin' Hawks (20-6) will visit second-seeded Muskego (18-8) at 4:30 p.m. in a sectional semifinal. Greenfield lost to Muskego, 9-0, as part of a nonconference tournament last month.

“They have a very fine team in all areas: defensively, offensively, and pitching," Greenfield coach Jack Miller said. "They took it to us very easily in a tournament a few weeks back. Their pitcher handcuffed us with only two hits. With all this said,  it’ll obviously be a huge challenge. Hopefully we’ll step up to this challenge.”
