Whitnall Softball Team in Control of Woodland Conference Fate

As the regular season winds down, the Falcons are behind first-place South Milwaukee in the standings but ahead of the Rockets in the loss column.

Needing a win to remain in control of its own destiny, the Whitnall Falcons softball team pulled off a dramatic come-from-behind rally to stay in the Woodland Conference East Division hunt Monday.

Whitnall fought back from a 5-2 deficit to score four in the bottom of the sixth inning and held on for a 6-5 win at Whitnall High School.

The Falcons improved to 8-1 in league play with three games remaining. They are a half-game behind South Milwaukee, which swept a doubleheader from downtrodden Brown Deer on Monday to move to 10-2.
