Visit to the BloodCenter of Wisconsin Could Save a Life

Way back in April 2011, on an assignment called the “Patch Spring Tour,” one component of the tour was partaking in a volunteer opportunity in our Patch towns.

With a BloodCenter of Wisconsin donor site right in Greenfield, I stopped in to volunteer … my blood.

Since then, I haven’t stopped going back.

There are few things more gratifying than walking out of the BloodCenter, 7210 W. Edgerton Ave., near Southridge Mall than knowing my donation could enhance, prolong or maybe even save a life.

Today, I made my final donation at the Greenfield BloodCenter as a Patch editor, which makes it the perfect time to encourage all the Greenfield and Greendale Patch readers to consider stopping in today and seeing if you’re eligible to donate.

Not only will you feel good about yourself when you leave, you won’t find a nicer staff, from the front desk to each and every nurse.
